SugarSpy helps you understand the sugar content of packaged foods by scanning barcodes and nutrition labels. This policy explains what information the app handles and where it goes.
When you scan or enter a barcode, SugarSpy queries one or more of these nutrition data providers until a match is found:
The request contains the barcode number and standard network information any internet request includes (such as your IP address, which providers may log per their own policies). SugarSpy does not attach any account identifier, advertising identifier, or personal profile — the app has none.
These are never uploaded.
The camera is used only to read barcodes and nutrition labels in the moment. Images are processed on the device and are not stored or uploaded.
SugarSpy Pro is an auto-renewing monthly subscription processed entirely by Apple through your Apple ID. We never see your payment details. Manage or cancel in Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
SugarSpy is informational only. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and nutrition data depends on public database records and label quality. Always verify values on the product package and consult a professional for medical decisions.
SugarSpy is not directed at children and collects no personal data from anyone.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.
